Wild Pastures works with highly principled farmers in the USA raising their animals on lush pastures – the way nature intended. Our farmers value raising healthy, happy animals in a way that is humane, sustainable, and protects and restores the environment.
100% Grass Fed Beef
- 100% grass fed and finished beef – our cattle are never fed grain or given antibiotics or hormones. Many other producers are using the "grass fed" claim even though the cattle are supplemented with grains. Our cattle eat grass... that's it!
- Rotationally grazed – our cattle are never confined to a feedlot or static plot of pasture. Rotational grazing helps preserve and restore the health of the land while providing a more nutrient-rich, natural diet for cattle.
- Raised in the USA – most other grass fed beef is imported. We only work with highly ethical family farmers in the USA.
Pasture-Raised Chicken
- Pasture-raised NOT free-range – our chickens spend their lives on pasture eating their natural diet of bugs and forage. "Free-range" is not ideal as the birds are often kept indoors and never step foot on pasture. Pasture-raised chicken is more nutrient-dense and richer in flavor.
- Our chickens are allowed to thrive outdoors on pasture in small flocks. Other chickens are usually step 2 at best. "Organic chicken" can also be deceiving since there is no requirement for the birds to ever step foot on a pasture.
- Raised in the USA by small family farmers without antibiotics, steroids, or hormones.

Therefore, we do not need to use synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, hormones, or antibiotics. This beautiful process doesn't require the external resources required with environmentally-depleting conventional farming.
Domestically Sourced
Many other providers source their meats from far outside of the United States. Instead of getting cheap meat from questionable sources and paying a premium on freight to bring it halfway across the world, we work closely with family farmers in the USA. This is a far more beneficial model for local farmers, our members, and the planet.
Whole Use, Zero Waste
In order to keep costs down we make every effort to optimize the use of the entire animal. We distribute various cuts evenly across our member base. But have no fear, we don't include organs in your share and you will still receive cuts you know and love!
